Anglo-Welsh-American band Howl Griff are Hywel Griff (guitar, keys, vocals), Gary Parkinson (guitar and vocals), Steve Kennedy (bass and vocals), Adrian Evans (keys and vocals) and Nick Moore (drums).
The albums Howl Griff, The Hum and Fragile Diamond were released on the Dockrad label.
Maximalism, their first for Cariad Records, will be released in Spring 2016. ‘Another Star’ will be the first single taken from the album.
They have had their music played on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6Music, Radio London, Radio Wales, Radio Cymru and KCRW. They have also had international airplay and on 1st January 2013 they were the first band to be played on planet Earth as their single ‘International Dateline’, which celebrated Samoa’s crossing of the international date line the previous year, was played on Samoan Radio at the stroke of midnight, making Howl Griff the first band broadcast anywhere in 2013.
Lauren Laverne called the band ‘bloody lush’ on her BBC 6Music show and she played ‘Bluebirds’ and ‘Sunrise’ off ‘The Hum’ album. Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales is also a fan of the band and plays tracks regularly on his show.
